We've all witnessed it...the extraordinary effort of teams and individuals on the ice. The goalie who bends and twists like a gymnast to keep his team in the game. The team that is down by 3 goals...but reaches deep inside themselves to put 4 unanswered goals on the board. We know what it is about, it's about HEART. The drive to win and succeed and never say die. It's one of the reasons we want our kids to play the game; we want them to challenge themselves as well as learn the power of teamwork.
AT THE HEART OF RAYHA IS VOLUNTEERS. Volunteers, who through the extraordinary effort of teams and individuals, keep our organization a winner. We need volunteers to serve in many capacities. YOU DO NOT NEED ANY HOCKEY EXPERIENCE TO HELP RAYHA AS A VOLUNTEER. We are sensitive to your personality strengths and want you to enjoy your volunteer experience. It is a great way to meet other parents and our communities' youth.
DID YOU KNOW:
-
Some hockey associations require families to pay their general fees as well as write a volunteer check. They only recieve the volunteer check back after they have performed a determined amount of volunteer hours.
-
There are hockey associations of our approximate size that have over twice as many board members as ours to perform association tasks.
-
That we have had some fabulous ideas presented by members, but no one available to implement the idea.
Volunteerism is not just about giving, it supplies personal rewards and satisfaction. Our family has been involved in youth athletics from the start. We have made friends, had fun and enjoyed meeting some of the very best young people in Roseville. Your volunteer contribution is a gift of time...the most precious commodity you have. You became a RAYHA member to gain a hockey experience for your kids; don't be reluctant to give back to the organization that makes that experience possible in our community.
Please contact a board member today to discuss how you can help!
