    Hockey Families Across the State of Hockey

    The SOH is excited to have partnered with Love Your Melon to provide the State of Hockey with a great hat that supports the fight against pediatric cancer, while putting money back in local hockey associations!

    For every hat sold, $10 will be donated back to the local hockey association designated. You do not have to be a member of the Association to order a hat – so get your friends, your family and your neighbors involved!! Click here to order your hat!

    This fundraiser will run from Oct. 9 – Oct. 31. Hats will be delivered to the local hockey association rink the week of Nov. 21, along with a check to the Association. 

    The Association that sells the most hats:  wins FREE ice time, for the entire association, at the new Wild practice facility – TRIA Rink. Time and date to be determined following the fundraiser.

    NEW AGE CLASSIFICATION NAMES

    USA Hockey adopted recent rule changes at the 2016 annual congress.  Effective Immediately, all age-specific names are changing to their respective age categories: 8U, 10U, 12U, etc. to align with the new policy.  Please refer to the table for the new age group names.

    This is a huge change for the hockey community, and we know it will take a while to get used to, but we please ask that you use these names when referring to teams.

    U18 18U 18 & Under (1998 - 1999)

    Girl's Tryouts

    Below are the dates and times for the girl's tryouts.  Tryouts will take place at Roseville Arena

    • 10/13 - 6:40 pm -7:40 pm 10U; 7:50 pm - 8:50 pm 12U
    • 10/14 - 5:45 pm-6:45 pm 10U; 7 pm - 8 pm 12U
    • 10/15 - 3:30 pm -4:30 pm 10U; 4:45 pm -5:45 pm 12U

    All tryout teams have been made. Please see your level website page to find out when your practices are scheduled.

    New Mission and Vision Statement

    With a new Board of Directors and a new season ahead of us, we’d like to present an updated mission and vision statement. It is our hope that this statement will act as a guide to unify and enhance effectiveness, provide direction on actions and decision making and even inspire and motivate.  We are all looking forward to and anticipating a great 2017-2018 season!

    The purpose of Roseville Area Youth Hockey Association is to provide programs to teach, promote and compete in amateur youth ice hockey in a fun, healthy and educational environment for all participants. Roseville Area Youth Hockey Association strives to develop individual and team skills, teamwork, knowledge of the game, loyalty, responsibility and sportsmanship a positive youth sports culture, which teaches life lessons.

    Herb Brooks Foundation inducts Brodt Family into Youth Hockey Hall of Fame at Golf Classic

    Congratulations to the Brodt Family!

    Blaine, Minn. (June 16, 2017) – The Herb Brooks Foundation (HBF) hosted its most important fundraiser, the HBF Golf Classic, on June 16. The HBF inducted the Brodt Family into the HBF Youth Hockey Hall of Fame at this year’s annual Golf Classic, honoring the family’s long-standing commitment to the development of hockey in Minnesota. Jack, Vic, Kerry, Winny, and Chelsey Brodt were given the award at a luncheon at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota. Click on the link to read the full article.
